Richline boss reveals his roots in the numbers game.
Richline jewelry’s proud papa and 83-year-old gazillionaire Warren Buffett told a Washington DC audience that his taste for making money first developed when he was a kid working at Georgetown Hospital. Patients and co-workers would give him bet suggestions for the numbers racket, he said. “They would tell me if there was a woman that had given birth to a baby that was, say, 8 pounds, 11 ounces,” he said, “or the time of the birth.” Buffett also shared some tips: “You don’t need 20 decisions to get very rich,” he said. “Four or five will probably do it over time.”
